Winter Embodied Retreat
December 9 - December 12
A Three-Day Retreat with Morgan Rose and Joe Iadanza
Light on the Hill Retreat Center – Van Etten, NY
Winter is the season of going in, dreaming and having our big ideas. Ideas so big they can’t be seen in open daylight. To incubate those ideas, we need the courage to close the blinds and go inside to that place where no one else can see. To travel the distance with those new ideas, we need to develop the endurance to stay at the bottom of our exhale long enough to surrender to the unknown; the place where most of us fear.
Join Morgan Rose and Joe Iadanza for a deep dive as we discover how to stack our deck to endure the long and dark winter, while bolstering ourselves to sit with the discomfort and discovering all that sitting within the darkness allows.
Discomfort is one of our greatest tools. Together, through deep witnessing, movement, meditation, pranayama, journaling, energy work/reiki, poetry and group sharing, we can uncover the resiliency which resides within. Winter is a time to feel safe and supported, see with eyes closed, listen with new ears and dream our most potent and imaginative dreams.
December 9-12, at Light on the Hill Retreat Center in Van Etten, NY, we will do just that… Dream, dive deep, linger at the bottom of the exhale and uncover your most wise self.

About Your Guides
Morgan Rose (E-RYT 500) is a multi-disciplinary teacher who loves sharing accessible ways to feel embodied, connected & inspired. Her deepest work is in ritualizing the seasons and sharing her theory of sesaonal embodiment and wisdom. Her yoga practice & classes are less about flow and poses and more about feeling the deep complexities of life happening inside and around. She teaches Katonah Yoga®, which incorporates classical Hatha yoga with Taoist theory, sacred geometry, magic, mythology, metaphor and imagination in a practical framework designed to potentiate personal and communal well-being. Framing the practice with maps of time and personal space are defined and refined. Morgan has spent the last 15 years formally studying embodiment and our human relationship to the natural world and each other. And for the past 10 years she has taught that to students from around the world. Morgan is a founding teacher and a board member of United We Om, a non-profit that has shared Yoga and Meditation with over 15,000 people in trauma impacted communities since 2015. She currently teaches workshops and courses and is in the process of writing her first book.
Joe Iadanza is a contemporary spiritual teacher, counselor, interfaith minister and a touring singer songwriter. He is the Founder of The Living Room Studio, helping people deepen their inner growth through self-study, meditation and contemplation. His mission is to provide a supportive and empowering environment where people can find time for reflection and engage in deep inner work. Joe leads individuals and groups through their own self-inquiry and the study of spiritual texts; specifically, “A Course in Miracles”, which he has worked with since 2005. He also teaches in “Hidden Treasure” – a three-year spiritual and personal transformation program housed at Light on the Hill Retreat Center in Van Etten, NY – and he’s a founding board member of United We Om, a non-profit that has shared Yoga and Meditation with over 15,000 people in trauma impacted communities since 2015.
